Ernie Brehaut

Ernie and his mate were walking down the road and their wives were walking along in front of them.

"I'll tell you one thing Mon Vieux," said Ernie, "we found a lovely place to eat yesterday!"

"Izit?" replied his mate.

"Ah for sure, the food was excellent!"

"Izit?"

"I'll say, and very cheap too!"

"Izit? that's just the sort of place me and the missus are looking for, ---what was it called, this place?"

"Ah, you've got me there Mon Vieux, the memory's not what it was ---- what do they call that flower with a beautiful smell?"

"Which one do you mean?"

"The one with the thorns growing up the stem!"

"Do you mean a rose?"

"Ah, that's the one," and cupping his hands to his mouth he shouted, "Rose, ---- what was the name of that restaurant yesterday?"
